LAWYERS IN THE SOUP KITCHEN
Lawyers in the Soup Kitchen is a community pro-bono incentive that provides free legal advice and assistance in the busy Brixton Soup Kitchen in Lambeth every Thursday evening 6pm- 8:30pm.
The project was founded in 2014 by Twanieka Alcindor who along with her team of student and qualified solicitor's barristers and trainees provide free legal assistance to all those who require it.
LISK is committed to helping the community to help themselves by equipping its clients with the skills and resources to deal with legal problems of any size where they may not otherwise be able to afford a lawyer.
LISK is supported by the community and the profession in its ongoing work within Lambeth and the surrounding boroughs.
KNIFE CRIME INCENTIVES - BRIXTON ON TRIAL
We are aware of the knife violence issues that affect both our community and society as a whole. Our educational initiatives such as our filmed mock-trial 'Brixton on Trial' show our ongoing commitment to educating the community and our young clients as to the realities of knife crime, the consequences which affect families and lives around the country.
