TWANIEKA is a Barrister and Attorney-at-Law, with a total of 20 years’ experience in defending in criminal law at all levels, and a practice founded largely upon community-ties and support.
Having graduated with both a Bachelors and Masters in Law from the University of Hertfordshire and being awarded the University's 'Judge's award for Excellence', in 2014 Twanieka founded the reputable pro-bono project ‘Lawyers in the Soup Kitchen’, which provides free-legal assistance and support in a variety of legal matters, weekly in a busy Brixton Soup Kitchen and hosted the first filmed knife-crime mock-trial ‘Brixton on Trial’, at the Royal Courts of Justice in 2017 which became a 'youtube' film.
Upon been called to the Bar by the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple (2015) to which she is four times scholar, she successfully completed pupillage and obtained tenancy in 2019. She practices in both Family and Criminal Law, inclusive of private children disputes and care proceedings, and she also accepts instructions to appear in matters as counsel via her chambers
She also completed her Legal Education Certificate L.E.C at the Norman Manley Law School (Jamaica) qualifying her to practice as an Attorney-at-law in the Commonwealth Caribbean Island of Jamaica (2017), having been Admitted to the Roll of Attorneys-at-Law in (2020) where she has a general legal practice including Crime, Property and Family law matters.
Since founding Alcindor Law in 2018 Twanieka has represented clients in a variety of matters in the Police Station, Youth/ Magistrates Court and Crown Court and has built a reputation of being professional, relatable and empathetic, particularly with vulnerable and youth clients.

SINEAD is our experienced senior legal consultant.
Sinead’s unique working style and approach has afforded her a high reputation with our client base.
Since starting at Alcindor Law in 2018 Sinead has worked and managed an extensive caseload. Her case load includes assisting clients with the outcome of their police station matters, preparing Youth, Magistrates, Crown Court and Appeal proceedings.
Sinead manages a diverse workload specialising in all areas surrounding Criminal defence. The spectrum of her case load varies including road traffic and driving offences, drug offences, burglary, assault, grievous bodily harm, sexual assault, arson, murder, possession of firearms, theft, public order offences, Criminal damage, attempted robbery, possession of offensive weapons, possession of prohibited articles whilst in prison, conveying prohibited articles into prison, child cruelty and breach offences.
Sinead works extremely well with the more vulnerable clients especially our youth and clients that suffer with mental health and disabilities.
Sinead has assisted clients in obtaining expert help to ensure they are represented fairly and justly include liaising and instructing on the client’s behalf, intermediary’s and medical experts.

Additionally she regularly assists the senior consultants in the preparation of trials for vulnerable clients.
She further assists counsel, King's Counsel and clients at court and whilst in custody and is the first point of call at Alcindor Law for all serious criminal matters and out of hours emergencies.
